My name is Deela. I want to thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. All my art is handcrafted from sterling and fine silver featuring semi-precious gemstones and artisan glass. Creating art is in my very genes. I’ve been making art in one form or another for over 25 years. My expressions of creativity in various mediums is precisely what led me to find my passion of working with silver, gemstones and artisan glass, which I have been cultivating for the last 7 years.
I work out of a small shop at home, deep in the lush woods of Mississippi that I share with my husband and our 5 dogs. Our home is our sanctuary and I spend time walking in the woods soaking up all the inspiration it has to offer, which can be endless.
I think it is somewhat limiting for people to think art is something displayed on a wall, on a shelf or even on a stage. They say that art can be transformative.
